Dr. James Ackelson, Chiropractor
Dr. James Ackelson comes from a long family history of chiropractors in Eagan on both his mother’s and father’s side. He has a Bachelors of Science degree and is a 1994 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. Palmer College is not only the first chiropractic school, which was founded in 1897; it is also one of the premier schools with 3 campuses in the United States. The Palmer University system has a long history of instilling the pride, purpose and passion it take to be a fantastic practitioner.
Dr. Ackelson is a primary health care provider and has been the clinic director for Care Chiropractic Body Wellness Center for 15 years. The chiropractic clinics in Eagan and Lakeville have long been community leaders in providing dynamic health care for the Twin cities area since 1995. In 2009, the Lakeville office was closed to make way for the opening of the Edina chiropractic office location in 2010 at the Metropolitan on France Avenue. The clinics offer chiropractic, massage, nutrition, and wellness coaching to help every person reach their full potential in life. He has worked with post-doctoral programs in orthopedics, nutrition, pediatrics, sports injury as well as injuries to the spine from work and auto accidents. Dr. Ackelson speaks regularly to both patients and doctors on the benefits of chiropractic care in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Ackelson’s expertise includes wellness care, family care, sports injuries, neck pain, auto accidents (whiplash injuries), work related injuries, shoulder, elbow, wrist, low back, disk herniation, hip.
Dr. Randi Hartley, Chiropractor
Dr. Randi Hartley also received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
Dr. Hartley previously practiced chiropractic in Dublin, Ireland prior to joining the Care Chiropractic team. She is proud to say she has helped people of all ages obtian a better quality of life through chiropractic care. Dr. Hartley utilizes Gonstead, Diversified and Activator techniques. She is certified in Graston technique which involves muscle and fascial rehabilitation. She is experienced in sports injuries, work and motor vehicle injuries as well as family care.
